Coal Township residents Ashlea Oakum, 18, and Maleeya Nagy, 13, are the two featured artists for FRESH in the Northumberland County Council For The Arts and Humanities Fine Arts Gallery in Shamokin. Donna Merkt, who is currently the director of museum experience at Oklahoma City’s Gaylord-Pickens Museum and the Oklahoma Hall of Fame, has been named the director of the South Dakota Art Museum following a national search. Learning to bartend was a fantastic experience, and I assume it really opened up a lot of doorways for me.

This event is a direct action step to nourish folks of all ages. This activation centers local companies, engages the youth, and is re-energizing people in a model new way at the intersection of artwork and expertise. With no fiscal sponsorship, this set up was created with the purest intention to heal the community via the humanities. Our experiential artwork exhibit is led by People of Color, born and raised in the East Bay. Join us Saturday for a special occasion hosted by OAKLANDISH.
